Larry Manuel Valim, a native of the Island of Pico Azores, immigrated to the United States in 1966. Larry established Portuguese Language Services in 1983 in Sacramento California.
Larry has done interpreting in various Civil, and Criminal Court cases. He has also interpreted for several State and Federal Agencies, including the Department of Social Services, Social Security, Immigration, and Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.
Larry is very active in Sacramento's Portuguese Community. He is a member of various Civic and Fraternal Organizations, including the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce. He is on the board of directors for the Sacramento Portuguese Holy Spirit Society and has served on the board of directors of UPEC for several years.
Larry has traveled extensively in Portugal, Madeira, and the Azores and knows these areas well. He has planned and led numerous tours to these and other areas.
